JCS Timber is a family owned business that has been operating since 1987. Located West of Melbourne, just off the Calder arterial, the company has grown due to our commitment to customer service, competitive pricing and short lead times.
We have a large network of forestry operators for harvesting logs from responsibly managed and sustainable forestry resources. Logs are processed at our onsite sawmill specialising in pine, hardwood and cypress pine.

The Green Sawmill
Each year on our site we plant over 1000 trees on average to aid in not only greening the environment, but to assist in preventing erosion, compete and overtake noxious weeds (such as serrated tussock) and provide habitat for native birds.
By products such as sawdust (distributed to the equine industry) and woodchips (distributed for mulch) means that the logs are fully utilised and by-products are not burnt or sent to landfill from this site. With well over 10,000 trees at varying ages we plan to better than carbon neutral in the next few years.
